About Steven
Dr Steven Hu grew up in Epping attending James Ruse Agricultural High School before going to Melbourne University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2012. Missing his local community Dr Hu returned to Epping and calls Epping Dental Centre home.
Dr Hu enjoys all facets of dentistry and more importantly serving the local community, creating beautiful smiles and enhancing their oral health. He takes great pleasure treating children and helping them achieve healthy and radiant smiles as they mature.
Dr Hu has a passion for orthodontics having completed a 3-year residency with progressive orthodontic seminars as well as the aligner+ program. He has treated over 100 cases with both fixed braces and clear aligners and takes pride in the amazing results. Dr Hu is grateful to be able to provide his patients with the confidence and optimal function of a winning smile.
Dr Hu has always been intrigued by dental implants and their ability to restore chewing ability in patients with failing teeth. Dr Hu has extensive experience in the field of implantology having placed and restored hundreds of implants. His procedures are backed by proven protocols and techniques having completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry for Dental Implants (Cambridge University UK). He has also travelled to Colombia to train in complex hard and soft tissue augmentation procedures under leading Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons.
When he is not at Epping Dental Centre, Dr Hu can be found mentoring the next generation of dentists as a Senior Dental Officer at Royal North Shore Hospital.
